On Sunday, Saudi Arabia who is infamous for oppressing women has allowed its women to ride. Saudi Arabia has become the last country to ban women from driving. But on Sunday morning some women drove through the streets while others drove in convoys around Riyadh neighborhood and celebrated the ban’s end. The decision will benefit the Saudi Arabia on economic grounds as well. Allowing women to drive could add $90 billion dollar to economic output by 2030, according to Bloomberg Economics. Trading only 5 percent stakes in Saudi Arabian Oil Co. could bring about 100 million. Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has removed the ban and it is one of the most socially-consequential reforms implemented by Saudi Prince. Although he removes the ban on purpose because he is planning to boost its economy from its reliance on oil.
