Raise a Confident Child by Following these 5 Tips

Raising a child is a continual process which demands a lot of skillful tricks to be followed. We all want our children to achieve success in their life and provide them with all the academic lessons required. Along with proper education and skills there is one more, the most important aspect is needed to achieve success or to face the world, yes it is Confidence that gives us the courage to face the challenges and overcome the odds. Imagine if your child is having all the knowledge to pass his written exams but when it comes to narrate his same skills in a debate, he fails due to lack of Self-Esteem of facing public. So no matters if children are equipped with all the knowledge of any given subject but if is lacking of confidence, he will never succeed in challenges.

Today I am sharing a few easy tips to boost confidence in children that will also help you to build a strong bond with them.

1. Listen to their Ideas Patiently

We all know that kids see the world differently and It is neccessary to listen to the ideas or perspective of your child towards any given scenario without laughing or making fun of them.  As a parent laughing or making fun of their ideas will give them a big shut off and chances are there that they will stop sharing their perspectives with you and will develop the thinking that their opinions are worthless, which is a strong sign of low self-esteem.

2. Put them in Unfamiliar Situation

At times we all have to face the situations which are unfamiliar to us and these situations are true testers of self-confidence in anyone. Make your kid meet new people at a new class or any new place to build them comfort level with handling new things without any hesitation or fear.

3. Celebrate their Success

It is very important to praise your children with positive feedback on their most little success too. Praising with positive words builds their will to work more hard to achieve success. While praising you need to be realistic as if your child is failing due to lack of skill then you must praise him for his efforts and then train him to find the real cause of failure and suggest the solution to fix that to achieve success.

4. Improve your Own Self Love & Self-Confidence

It is well known fact that children immitate the behavior they see from their elders, hence it is very important that you first love yourself before teaching your children. To set an example for your children you can celebrate your successes by having a dinner party or by going on family vacation. You can proudly tell your kids about the hard work you done and the new skills you learnt to achive success.

5. Let them taste the Failure

You must make your kid understand that no one can be successfull everytime and they have to face the failures and criticism too. There is no shame in failures, infact children should be taught to analyse and learn from the stebacks, only after learning their short comings and practise the required skills can make them achieve success.
